Discover COVID-19 Data
Q2 2020 data was recently added to Marketscape, which includes the first quarter of COVID-19 impacted Medicare claims. You’ll find “COVID-19” is now listed as a diagnostic category on Analyze pages for facilities and agencies that had sufficient COVID-19 patient volumes in Q2. Specifically, you’ll find a “COVID-19” row in tables such as Diagnostic Breakout by Stay and Patient Diagnostic Mix.
Accelerate Your Workflow with Global Search
To expedite your workflow, we’ve added a global search bar to every page in Marketscape. Now, you can search for any provider by Name, NPI, or Alias from anywhere within the product and navigate directly to the provider’s Analyze page.
Get Specific with Advanced Search
Find exactly what you want in less time with our new “Advanced Search” feature, hyperlinked beneath the regular search bar on the Explore page. “Advanced Search” allows you to further narrow your search without using specific filters or saved views. With “Advanced Search”, you can not only filter by Name, NPI, or Alias, but also by Address, Location, Specialty, Assigned User, Highest Affiliation, Claim Type or Risk Category.
Filter Providers by ACO and MA Plan
Narrow your search for providers participating in an ACO and contracted with certain MA Plans with new ACO and MA Plan filters. You can find the ACO filter within Physician Explore pages and the MA Plan filter within all Explore pages. Select the specific checkbox for ACO name(s) or an MA Plan name to narrow your search. These new filters will perform the same as the Billing NPI filter.
Influence Marketscape Developments with the New Idea Center
With the new and improved Idea Center, submit your feature ideas and engage with other user ideas, voting for and commenting on your favorite suggestions. Help the product team discover and prioritize the ideas that will be most impactful to you and other Marketscape users! Find the new idea center by clicking the question mark in the bottom right of your screen and then clicking “Submit an Idea.”
Other Enhancements
Access Full Team Hierarchy on Manager Report: We added a multi-tiered hierarchy on the Manager Report to accommodate all the levels in your organization. Now, you can see not only direct reports, but also your direct reports’ direct reports, and so on. You can find this updated reporting on your homepage if you have managerial permissions.
Improved Functionality for “Clear Favorites” Button: We updated the logic of the “Clear Favorites” button to only remove the favorites of the provider type you are currently viewing on Home. The “Clear Favorites” button previously removed all favorites in Marketscape.
Target Underutilizing Physicians More Efficiently: We changed the Underutilizing (Target Strategy) saved view to better refine the Physician Explore results. Now referral sources that do not fit certain parameters no longer appear in the results. This filter will only show physicians whose utilization (3 months prior) is lower than the state average and will sort the “Patients 3 Months Prior” column in descending order. The results will also exclude radiology, anesthesiology, and pathology specialties. You can apply this filter by using the “Saved Views” dropdown on Physician Explore pages.
Explore a cleaner Analyze Page: We moved Insights to its own tab to improve your Analyze page view and shift more valuable information to the top of your screen, decreasing the need to scroll.
Improved Utilization Table: We updated the Home Health Utilization table to align the table rows with its accompanying chart. You can find this revised table in the Home Health Utilization tab of Physician Analyze pages.
“DRG” Changed to “MS-DRG”: We changed the terminology of “DRG” to “MS-DRG (Medicare Severity-Diagnosis Related Group)” to differentiate from All-Patient DRG (AP-DRG). You can find this text change on Facility Analyze pages.
New Chart for Diagnostic Breakout by Stay "Inpatient MS-DRG": You can now view “Inpatient MS-DRG” data by selecting the drop down in the “Diagnostic Breakout by Stay” table within the Patient Population tab on Facility pages. By turning on “Chart View,” you can also see the accompanying chart.
